Our first meeting after the summer break was well attended by 42 members, 2 new members (under 20) joined as well we had our speakers Dean Baayens / Neil Tomaszewski talk about HAP and BAP and how we are revamping the templates to make them a fillable PDF with digital pictures to document the successes.
Our mini auction had 22 items of assorted plants and fish that we well received with some fish fetching over 75.00 for a pair of Apistogramma abacaxis.
Our members were informed of our latest speakers - Spencer Jack Oct 8th and Hans Evers Oct 25th! November will be Amazonia Aquarium showing us how to design/plan, execute an aquascaped aquarium in 1.5hrs!
2025 is approaching, so is our 75th Anniversary and we plan to celebrate it all year long! As one of Canada's oldest clubs with an amazing history we plan to tell the story to Calgarians who may not know anything about our history.
Our year will be filled with many more speaking engagements, aquascaping events and co- hosting the first ever GWG Canada event for the world GWG group in April 2025. Lots of exciting things to come!
